What is the Anne Frank Trust?
Established since 1991, The Anne Frank Trust UK is an education charity that empowers young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to challenge all forms of prejudice and discrimination. Operating in all seven regions of the UK, Anne Frank partner with schools, local authorities, the criminal justice sector and others to deliver educational programmes to young people in a variety of settings.
Their mission:
Anne Frank’s diary has been read by millions of people worldwide. By learning about her life and times, we can relate to what happened then and what is happening now in our own lives and communities. Through the use of Anne Frank’s life and inspirational diary, the charity motivates, encourages empowerment and educates young people, giving them the confidence and knowledge to challenge all forms of prejudice and discrimination.
“The Anne Frank Trust is a driving force, educating young people in some of the most deprived and divided communities in the UK. We need to open up the debate, especially with young, impressionable people, so they question how they see others in the world around them.”
– Daniel Mendoza, Chair of the Anne Frank Trust UK.
